Mother's Day Weekend

Friday night, Gabe and I drove in to town and met Adam after work at Home Depot. We bought a ton of flowers and some fruits and veggies to plant. Our landlord had cement poured last week, so there was a nice spot against the house where we planted a bunch of flowers. So Saturday, Adam and I spent a few hours working out in the yard.

Adam built a frame for a raised bed to grow some fruits and veggies. I guess groundhogs can be an issue, so we had to put some wire mesh on the bottom.

Flowers are all planted!

New Patio

Veggie & Fruit Garden! Some tomatoes, yellow/orange/green bell peppers, jalapenos, banana peppers. Also trying some a few strawberry plants and a watermelon plant... We'll see how those go :-)

Gabe has his own table out on the patio! This was his birthday present from us last year, but we finally got it set up this weekend.

Saturday night, I went to a scrapbooking night at the store in town. Got a few pages done. Wasn't super organized ahead of time - haven't had a chance to uncpack all of my craft stuff. But it was a good time.

Sunday, we just spent the day getting stuff done around the house. Adam made french toast and bacon for breakfast - my favorite! :-) Then he worked on putting together a bookshelf and a nightstand for Gabe's room. I got some other random stuff picked up / unpacked / put away. For dinner, I made homemade pork egg rolls and beef lo mein. Everything turned out pretty tasty. :-)
